Yes that sky has been altered. Apparently i had a smudge on the lens that affected the pictures..i was able to crop most of them but this one it was right next to the bridge!

I only got two shots of the kids. We really didn't have an opportunity to take pictures. We were supposed to go to the beach with friends who are CEF missionaries on the island but their youngest son got sick so we couldn't get together!

It's all my fault!

So I wrote at the end of my last post that we were heading for a local amusement park! I also said that I would take lots of pictures ...If I remembered my camera...Well the good news is I did...the bad news is i forgot my card! Sorry! It was still in the dock from my last major upload~

So here is a couple of highlights....

1. There is a water park attached. And in that water park there is a Kiddies pool. Well Lady bug Loves the water. Tornado Does not!!!! Anyway so there are two small slides that go into very shallow water...Lady bug immediately loved this. Slides and water her two favorite things!! Well she went down the slide about 3 times the conventional way..you know sitting up n your bum feet facing forward! Well she was doing this all alone with Daddy standing at the bottom waiting for here..with Tornado when she decided to go down face first on her belly!...Yep i know that would have made a REALLY cute picture but alas! Anyway she REALLY loved that so she quickly got out of the pool and walked up the ramp again..Except for this time the slide went faster than it had any other of the four times she went down. She went face first into the pool with an immediate reaction from both daddy and the life guard. The funny thing it is she was all upset she wanted to do it again and we had decided to head to another water park ride.

2. The next ride was a floating ride where you sit on an inner tube and float down a river, At three different spots there are places where you get completely soaked if you manage to get under the water umbrella or two waterfalls. Tornado sat on Daddy's Lap and Lady bug sat on my lap....We went at different time because someone had to stay with vug! I think Mommy and daddy liked this a whole lot more than the other two!! I think Lady bug liked it as long as there was not water pouring over her head!

3. We only did two water things..here wasn't much we could do with three small kids and then we moved onto the kiddie park. Where tornado and Lady bug got to ride in a T-Bird!!! A little motorized car on a track..They had a blast...however at the end of the ride Tornado didn't understand that he wasn't going to keep the car. He thought it was his!!! Then it was on to the little boats that went in a circle....By this point Tornado understood it was not his boat and he had a blast. Tornado sat in the front steering and Lady bug sat in the back seat steering.. then we had an hour meeting with a friend we met there (the whole reason for going)

4. Then it was back for more kiddie rides. The turtles and the airplanes....The turtle ride looked so cute but the kids only made it around the track twice (they were the only two on it at the time) They hated every minute of it. It was a circular track with only two small bumps but nonetheless they hated it and the girl stopped the ride so they could get off! Then there were the airplanes....not well liked either mostly because they went up a few feet...Like to my head. Anyway they liked it just fine when they were closer to the ground but they didn't stop the ride. However we were kinda worried because both kids wouldn't look out at us but kept focusing on the center of the ride! If they would have thrown up they would have never wanted to ride rides again. Then it was off for a snack and one more ride on the T-Birds for both kiddos and then a boat ride for Tornado.

5. Mommy got to ride one ride. Kind of like the the Cosmotron at the local amusement park near where I grew up except for it is not inside a building and there is one huge bump in the back! Oh yeah and the play mostly OLDIES! With a little of the new stuff mixed in!

6. Then it was off to Friendly's for Ice cream with our friends from UTAH. Where Tornado slept on the bench and didn't have any ice cream and Lady Bug spilled a glass of Ice water...on Mommy's Lap!

Well we had a lot of fun...sorry we forgot the camera card. Maybe next time!

Sleepy Heads

As of the this last week I think we have had at least one thunderstorm every night. And that means scared kiddos.



This is the picture hubby and I woke up to on Friday this last week. They were cuddled up at the bottom of our bed!!!



And this was Saturday night where we had about 10 thunderstorms / about one every twenty minute or so. One would end and twenty minutes later another would start. I will say this though..it is considerably cooler!!!

She turns TWO!!

Lady Bug turns two today...And bot looking back has she changed. She is such a beautiful little girl!!With Captivating eye s and an electric smile. What a joy she is. Here are a few pictures to mark today's events!

And this is her today..with her birthday presents..not the dolls or the back pack but the stroller and high chair...

This was her dinner..She didn't have cake for dinner ..Ok so maybe in a way she did!. Her favorite is pancakes. So i made chocolate chip pancakes with cool whip and blueberry syrup and sprinkles.

She loved it!!!
She wasn't quite sure what t make of the candles though
She tried and tried to blow them out but it just didn't work!
So someone had to help after the 5th or 6th try!!



And this is the aftermath...by the way that is tapioca pudding!!


She didn't want her picture taken so she closed her eyes thinking..if I can't see you you surely can't see me!!

We will have Birthday cupcakes when our friends come up for a visit this weekend. their daughter turns one in a week!

Battles Waged

We had a GREAT weekend! Hubby and the kids walked around the lake (that's 3 Miles)On Saturday he took Just Tornado and Lady bug. Vug wasn't awake yet so he slept a while longer. On Sunday Hubby took all three. Now you may ask how can he take all three. He wasn't by himself either of those days. hid parents were also at the Conference!!

The two toddlers were in the double Stroller and Vug was in a front pack on Hubby! They had a great time.

We didn't get any pictures this weekend but I can tell you of some happenings that occurred.
Friday

1. Got to camp and set up
2. In the middle of the night had a huge Thunderstorm that lasted hours (no we didn't get soaked)
   

Saturday

1. Went swimming in the pool (Tornado hates this, but remarkably he is always the one who begs to go)
2. Had lunch at dining hall
3. Were going to go to the concert but we decided that we didn't want to overload the kids so we played with the kids in the open field near our camp site
4. Another huge thunderstorm (no we didn't get soaked)

Sunday

1. Hubby and kids walked around the lake
2. Church services..a good friend was the speaker
3. Pappy took tornado and Lady bug to play at the play ground around the hedge row from our camp site...He put Tornado and Lady bug on One end of the Teeter totter and himself on the other end....What ensued resulted in these pictures
   
   Yep you guessed it he fell off. He didn't fall very far but it was enough to give him that nice Shine!
   

After lunch and their nap he got to go play with grandma at the Big play ground hear the pool. They played in the sand box and miniature golf, baseball, tether ball and lots of other fun things while mommy and daddy broke camp and packed up. We had dinner at the dinning hall and then went to the evening services. I managed to get sick during the service..due to something i ate..Once It was out of my system i was perfectly fine..Beginning to end 1 hour! It was so weird!

The camp is so amazing with a huge lake the camp offers Pontoon boats. rowboats canoes, paddle boats and a speedboat where you can water ski and tubing!

They also have a swimming pool, tennis and basketball courts Shuffle board and miniature golf course, tether ball, 2 playgrounds, a Huge camper section, cottages, tent sites, a motel and a huge array of sports equipment. You don't have to bring your own. And A game room with all sorts of table games! Not to mention all the great speakers. you get two sessions everyday but that still leaves plenty of time to enjoy the outdoors and make some great friends!

Well I have a huge pile of stuff down in our den that is just calling me to unpack it So i will write again soon!
